Wednesday were 2 weeks since i ordered my Chaucer book, Canterbury Tales and arrived just yesterday. It took quite a long time for it to arrive here. I thought it would be some nice tales (as far as i’ve remembered them) but it turned out to be all Middle English text and half of it it’s like ”
what does THAT mean?”
will manage somehow to read cause it’s a must for next Wednesday.
Today was the Elokuvailta at the library. We were really few people, watched a Finnish comedy entitled FC Venus
Surprising, i was watching the trailer and the reviews of it today and thought it should be a nice movie and tadam
It was really a nice movie, and comedy as one should be, well romantic comedy but i liked it very much. As always, i like Finnish movies (probably the only one i didn’t liked that much was Hymypoika). The movie was about a football team of guys called HeMen whose only passion was to watch and play football games no matter what was happening around them. But then came a turn when Anna (Minna Haapkylä) makes a bet against the team of her spouse (Petteri Summanen) that they will practice during the whole summer and win a match against them. If the team of Anna wins then the guys should handle them their tickets to Germany to the World Cup with all the extra they have bought so far. There comes a long summer of practices and childhood memories until finally the match against the HeMen comes. It’s a movie worth watching.
Ahhh, football. yesterday evening i was switching between the channels of the tv and i found on one of them something. Germany – Finland. I was like
whaaaaat?
i’ve never seen any football thing with Finland. it was the 43rd minute and the score was 0-1 for Finland. Such a great game, a shame that in the last minute Germany marked a goal and they qualified themselves.
