The event i was looking forward the most has just passed by and it seems a bit still unreal but it happened. Here’s the story of yesterday.
Seinäjoki is about 90km by car from Vaasa. I went there with train, that took one hour to be there. At 13.20 arrived and there was Pasi waiting for me at the train station. He showed me where the festival will take place and then we went for a walk around the town. He took me to a great place, where i could buy PMMP’s Kulkaas Enot! and 2 The Rasmus singles along with one Negative single for a total price of 9 euros all. Nice eh?
After that we had about one more hour to spend until the gates of the festival opened at 5PM sharp. About 10 minutes before that we exchanged our tickets to bracelets and been waiting in front of the entrance. Not much later Pasi pointed at the VIP entrance and there were Mira and Paula coming to the festival. We greeted them and Pasi told them that i’m from Romania, so got some greetings
here was the point when i couldn’t care less about my phone bill so i sent a message to Oana.
Not much later we entered the area of the festival as first
. Looking around for a bit, i wanted to get some Finland T-shirt or something typical but the only t-shirt i found was in too big sizes only
. We listened to the soundcheck of PMMP and been waiting impatiently for 6 PM for the gig to start (on the website it said 5.45, but i dunno they started later). I can’t really remember the right order of the songs they have played but here they are which ones could be heard there: Intro, Kuvia, Lautturi, Rusketusraidat, Joku Raja, Tässä elämä on, Kohkausrock, Merimiehen Vaimo, Viimeinen Valitusvirsi, Lapsuus Loppui, Matkalaulu, Rotat, Kesäkaverit, Pariterapiaa. (i linked the videos that i have).
I can’t remember before which song really, but Paula asked me to say in Romanian what is “child” and “cheers”
as i really couldn’t shout that loud so she would hear she came down from the stage. There one one (really annoying) girl standing behind my back that was really keen on to talk to her, and she wanted to talk when Paula told her to shut up
it was pretty hard to keep myself from laughing.
But i had a really great time at the gig. Girls are very energetic at the gig and they can really make you want to sing and dance (somehow most of the Finnish artists are able to do this…).
After the gig we have met with the girls, i got autograph from them and also got to take pictures (here thanks again to Pasi because the batteries of my camera died after about the 5th song…wondering still why, i charged them right before leaving) with Mira and Paula. Paula is a very talkative and interactive person, i could never have imagined that about her, but on the other hand Mira is really silent one but the more cute
.
All in all, i enjoyed very much the whole day. Pictures from the gig can be found on my Flickr account, here.
