The Rasmus Live @ Hard Rock Café 16.02.2009 [RO]

Well, i promised a review, so here we go on a separate page cause this awsome gig deserves it. So let’s begin at the very beginning of the day, 12:00 am in the night.

I must confess i couldn’t sleep almost all night long, slept about 3-4 hours. Woke up at about 8am and breakfast and getting ready soon with a lot of excitement and left at 9am with dad to Brasov to  meet up with Oana and her dad. After long hours of waiting and laughings with the other fans at around 7pm we wre allowed to enter the Cafe. The guys were punctual and started the gig at sharp 9pm. After a one minute Intro Tape the guys arrived on the stage (Aki, Eero, Pauli and at the end Lauri of course ) Started the 90 minutes long gig with their first single from Black Roses, Livin’ In A World Without You . The song was greeted with the screams of all of us, as being one of the best songs of the new album. Going back in time a bit the next song was from their album called Dead Letters, In My Life. As always the song caused the crowd to jump as being a really good and heavy song, especially live. The next song was No Fear (from Hide From The Sun). I must say that i don’t really like this song but it was OK, after all they can’t play only the songs i like . The next song was a recent one from the new album, Ten Black Roses, which if you ask me it’s a really and really great song. Justify was the next song which was a little bit to calm the crowd down, not being famous for being a heavy song. Going back to around 2001, they have played one of my favorite songs from Into, F-f-f-falling. As Lauri said at the next song, we’ve gone even more back in time to listen and sing along on Liquid, a really calm but still with deep lyrics song. Followed the next song, one of my favorites from the new album live, Your Forgiveness so mostly that’s the reason why i have also recorded it. Ok, ok i have a lot of favorite songs but i was really happy to hear Chill which is one of the songs that i listen almost everyday at least once. The setlist said that the next song is going to be one song by Eero, but we could have hear that a bit later on not after Chill, he sung something about Romania little joker. I think it’s about useless to keep in front of me the setlist cause they changed the order, but the next one supposed to be Ghost of Love, still a song from Black Roses <3. Ok, and next comes First Day Of My Life which was introduced by Lauri as he asked if we remember the lyrics and he started to sing “Remember the times Together we swore” from the song and the crowd had almost started to shout “Still Feels Like The First Day Of My Life”. It was an awsome performance of the song, as always .  Next was Not Like The Other Girls, which was the song i have heard by them for the first time <3 and i still love it very much, especially live Pauli’s Solo. “The next song is for boys mostly” and the first chords of Immortal have started. An energetic song live, even on the album, though not one of my favorites but i like the acustic guitar solos in it . Next we were asked for some light of the phone or something we had to swing as the next song was Live Forever. Close to cry but it’s a really beautiful song.  ”The next song is one of my favorite The Rasmus songs” said Lauri just before the band behind him have started to play The Fight. Awsome! I will always love this song, it has some really amazing and true lyrics.  And who wouldn’t know the next song? Shame on him/her!!! In the shadows, the big hit that brought them fame. As always the crowd went crazy when the song started. Finally, the last song that they have played was Guilty, which made me really smile and think about my dad in the back of me somewhere, this song being one of his so called “favorites” . They said godbye to us and went off-stage. Everyone started to shout “The Rasmus The Rasmus” and guess they have come back. Yuppeeeee…. when i saw Lauri with Eero’s bass guitar i knew that the next song is going to be their finnish song Rakkauslaulu. Lauri excused himself as “being fucking tired of singing today already” and asked a fan to come and sing with him. Raising my hand, but i wasn’t that lucky, i don’t mind it, and a girl went to the stage to sing with him the song. The really and really last song they have played was a ballad, Sail Away. Goodbye! They haven’t came back. After about 15 minutes we saw Eero at the entrance, went there to take autograph and pictures and we had an about 10 minutes Yoga with him. Me and Eero. We went out with Oana to my dad just when one of our friends called her that Lauri came out too, runing back we also got an autograph and picture with him. Me and Lauri. We went for a walk with Oana and Mary and Miha came to me to tell me that Aki is out and alone. Damn, i run straight there and talked with him <3 <3. He take my album and before singing he saw my name on it (which was written there by Eero) and asked me if we know each other i said no, maybe from MySpace cause i wrote him and he answered. <3 Also asked me if it’s my real name or nickname, and when i told him it’s my real name he said i have a beautiful name. Pfff!!! I felt like melting. Me and Aki. Sad Pauli didn’t came out, would have liked a picture and an autograph from him too, but maybe next time.

All i can say is that it was worth the waiting over 6 hours in the falling snow and damn cold, i don’t regret it, even if now i’m coughing ugly like hell but i don’t mind it.
